Acupressure

Acupressure is a traditional Chinese medicine bodywork technique based on the same ideas as Acupuncture.

It involves placing physical pressure, by hand, elbow, or with the aid of various devices, on different pressure points on the surface of the body (which may be far distant from the symptom, related by what is called the meridian system) to bring about relief through greater balance and circulation of fluids (blood and lymph) and metabolic energies in the body (heat and Qi).

Acupressure can often achieve the same healing results as Acupuncture, but without the needles.

I blend a combination of Acupressure, Chinese Bodywork (Tui Na), Swedish, and Deep Tissue massage. I will work with you to determine which modalities best suit your individual needs.

David’s blend of Eastern and Western medical knowledge & philosophy has gotten me from a place of pain, tightness and limited mobility to almost normal functionality in only a few visits. His holistic approach not only works the pain location, but also finds & works the corresponding points along the body channels that acupuncture follows. Plus he provides me with several effective stretches and exercises to do at home. I’m in good hands with David!
